Toyota sales up 16.8%, but Lexus slides 5.5%
Toyota’s U.S. sales in September rose 16.8% from a year ago to 147,162, but its Lexus luxury brand experienced a 5.5% decline.
Popularity of its Camry mid-size sedan, as well as the Highlander, 4Runner and RAV4 SUVs, offset flat or declining sales of its Venza and Lexus RX crossovers, and the Corolla compact.
